BSA Golden Flash 1960 restoration project

Great project, as you can see previous owner had taken the engine out and stripped it, not sure exactly why, maybe just needed a rebuild, the thick flange barrels have been rebored with 40+ new pistons, the large journal crankshaft is still on standard, the wheels have been rebuilt at some time, the forks look to have been rebuilt with stainless steel oilseal holders too, the rear shock absorbers look to be replacments, overall the chromework is very good all over, the chronometric speedo looks to have been rebuilt, the clutch is the 4 spring type and looks good, the carburettor looks to have been a new replacement and the Magneto and dynamo look clean and also look to have been refurbished at sometime too. The paintwork needs refreshing as it has scratches etc and there is a dent on the nearside of the petrol tank. The bike was known to me as the previous owner regularly came to me for spare parts for his other bikes that he had. The frame and engine numbers match the V5C and the original number is valuable and transferable if that is your thing. The bike comes with previous MOT certificates old v5 and new V5c.
